The Town of Sweden, Maine is seeking a part-time Planning Board Assistant to support the Planning Board and other town officials with record-keeping and other administrative duties.
This is a part-time position anticipated to require 25 – 30 hours per month (6-8 hours per week). Hours are generally flexible and some of the work can be performed remotely at home. Although this is not a public-facing position, a portion of work will be required to be completed at the Sweden Town Office.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3 years’ experience in an administrative capacity. Top-notch attention to detail is an essential skill for this role. Must also have very good computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel. Municipal experience is a plus but not required. Hourly pay will be commensurate with experience.
