The Annual Town Meeting is held in March, at which warrants are raised before the residents of Sweden for the election of officials, town business affairs, and expenditures of money.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-668cbc4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"668cbc4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Although the town has never had a central commercial center, the mid 1800&#8217;s were considered a boom time with multiple stores, a blacksmith shop, cooperages, a post office and even a bowling alley.\u00a0 The Sweden Historical Society has extensive historical records and documents, and has catalogued Sweden buildings build pre-1900 that are still standing.<\/p><p>Today, the area near Sweden\u2019s Four Corners (intersection of Rt 93 and Waterford Road) is where the Sweden Town Office, Town Meeting Hall, Historical Society, and Community Church\/Food Pantry are located.
