For a new registration of a car, truck, or motorcycle please see the Tax Collector\/Treasurer at Town Office.<\/p>\n

The excise tax is based on the MSRP of your vehicle and is determined using the VIN.<\/p>\n

Bring proof of insurance and odometer reading (mileage), bill of sale and title (if necessary).  Check should be payable to “Town of Sweden”.  At this time the Town Office does not accept credit cards.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Boat<\/h2>

Register your boat with the Town Clerk or Tax Collector\/Treasurer at Town Office.\u00a0Registration is not required for canoes or non-motorized row boats.<\/p>

If new, bring proof of sales tax paid, age of boat, horsepower, and boat length.<\/p>

The excise tax and registration fees are based on horsepower, length, and age of boat. Boats used in fresh water require an additional fee of $10 required to support milfoil prevention efforts.<\/p>

The Town of Sweden does not participate in the online boat renewal system.<\/p>
