Honoring our past, investing in our future,

Sweden is a small town,  proud of our heritage and history. Rock walls line the roads, old cellar holes can be found by the adventurous, and the Sweden Historical Society celebrates and documents centuries old buildings and treasured artifacts. Families with ties to the Sweden’s founding fathers still live here, and our community has been a summer retreat for many throughout the years.

We value the rural beauty around us as we strive to improve the quality of life for our residents. Current initiatives involve improvements to local roads, plans to build a new Fire Station next to the Town Office, ongoing updates to the Town Office building, improved outreach and communication with citizens, and working with ESRB to bring broadband/fiber and more reliable phone service to the town. Sweden’s greatest commodity is the integrity and passion of our residents and seasonal visitors.
