Sweden Fire Station: Informational meeting scheduled for Friday, February 2, 6:30pm and a Special Town Meeting scheduled Saturday, February 3, 9am (both at the Town Meeting House)

Friday, February 2 @ 6:30pm: Informational meeting to review progress, costs, funding options, and developments for building the Sweden Fire Station
Saturday, February 3 @ 9:00am: Special Town Meeting to see if the Town will vote to authorize the Select Board to (i) issue general obligation bonds or notes in the name of the Town of Sweden in a principal amount not to exceed $ (to be determined) (collectively, the “Bonds”), which Bonds may be made callable, and to appropriate the proceeds of the Bonds to pay costs to design, construct, and equip a new fire station at 147 Bridgton Road (the “Project”); and (ii) to apply for and accept any donations or state or federal grants for the Project, which funds are appropriated for the Project and used to reduce the principal amount of the Bonds or to pay debt service on the Bonds.
