The Town of Sweden (OWNER) cordially invites bids for the construction of their Fire Station in
Sweden, Maine. Sealed bids will be received by the Town at the Sweden Town office at 11:00 AM
prevailing local time, on January 9 2024.

The work generally consists of the following:
The construction of a 4,864 square foot fire station building consisting of concrete pad
foundation; wood frame and steel construction with ZIP Panels; associated site grading, paving; Design build electrical systems (lighting and power); Design build mechanical heating and ventilation systems; Design build plumbing system; connection to the new water and sewer systems.
Bidders are encouraged to conduct visits to the site prior to the bid date. A Prebid meeting will be held at 11 am on December 20, 2023. Questions on the bid manual and plans will be
forwarded to Plymouth Engineering, Inc. via email, kewing@plymouthengineering.com.
The Contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of all pertinent general public laws of the State
of Maine in effect at the time of the execution of the Contract.
A satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany bids. The selected
Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Performance/Payment Bonds and Lien Waivers to cover
the execution of the work. Bonds and Lien Waivers shall conform to the Specifications and for the
Contract Amount. The Owner reserves the right to waive all informalities and reject any and all bids or
to accept any bids as may be deemed to be in the Owner’s best interest.
The Owner is a tax-exempt entity.
Plans and specifications will be available December 05, 2023, for a $100 non-refundable fee, $150 if
mailed (United States Postal Service first class) or $150 (Federal Express-Overnight) from: Plymouth
Engineering, Inc., PO Box 46, Plymouth, Maine 04969 at telephone number (207) 257-2071. Contract
Documents may be examined at the same address as they may be obtained.
